S.T.E.M Skills

Project Introduction

The S.T.E.M Skills

Project Description

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

When we talk about STEM skills, we are referring to the key skills needed in today’s workplace: problem solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently.

Obviously they are all related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Thanks to Science skills, you can understand what happens around you.

Using technological skills you can simulate experiments that you couldn’t do in a classroom.

Engineering skills are used when you design, build, and test models.

You use math skills to analyze and draw conclusions from experiments.

Nowadays most employers want workers who are able to reason and solve problems using STEM skills.

In Italy some STEM skills aren’t developed at all; At school, scientific and mathematical skills are quite developed, but only in a theoretical way.

If we practiced all the theoretical topics we usually learn, students would probably understand faster.
